The tool that missed the mark
This product falls short. Never expected this lack of performance from Milwaukee tool. Pulled this unit out of the box, charged the two included batteries for 2-3hours and it was test time. This thing could not start a 1600 watt heater. The M18 version of this guy starts the heater right up. Not how I wanted to be introduced to the MX line.

120VAC? Nope. Best is 100VAC
This product falls short. Never expected this lack of performance from Milwaukee tool. Pulled this unit out of the box, charged the two included batteries for 2-3hours and it was test time. This thing could not start a 1600 watt heater. The M18 version of this guy starts the heater right up. Connected a laptop charger and noticed the voltage output between 83-100VAC. Not good. Not how I wanted to be introduced to the MX line.

Used for maybe 10 minutes on a residential construction site with no power, started smoking and now it doesn’t work and over $2000 down the drain!

This is the worst product period from Milwaukee I bought it in 2022 and used it 3 times all my tags were intact on the product and last week I tried to use it and all the inverter does was blink red light and I sent in for repair and they quoted me $700 so pretty much the life span is 3 uses

I would not recommend this product. Does not last.
I do electrical testing. We purchased 4 of these units to run LED light towers 13 amps per light we ran one tower per inverter. Lester less than a hour. I was taken back. I thought maybe we did not charge all the way so we re charged I check them my self they where fully charged same results. Great concept but does not last. Vary disappointing. Love my Milwaukee tools but this one is a definite FAIL and waste of money.

I would think long and hard about buying.
I use this product in an area where there is no power and gas generator really isn't an option. I figured this product would be great as I use many milwaukee products as a lineman in my utility. I got it 3 years ago and right out of the box, the unit only ran off 1 battery terminal. It has 2.
After contacting Milwaukee and sending it off for repair i got it back 3 days ago i was hopefull that it would run off both terminals. It does which is great. I tried it out with 2 LED work lights that draw a total of 640 watts. I am getting a really bad flicker on these work light. I turn 1 off and the flicker goes away. But being well under the 1800 watts this unit produces it is disappointing that I now have a different problem after it was repaired for something different.

I will promote this product on every job site tha.
I install fire sprinklers to new constructions. And there's no power it's super hot and and I have to be scattering extension cord through out the building. This product will make my day much more pleasant.

Product works, but needs improvements...
I use it for intermittent loads where line power isn't available or practical, for that it is a wonderful product... however... it needs some adjustments... first off... with mine it would only run for a hour at a time and would shut off... I can see why this feature was added but when power is being used that is a stupid feature. I had mine sent in and had it re programed, now it runs till the battery dies, wonderful but why not have that be a switch so you can chose the operation??? Also this little gem isn't widely known. I buy from a special place who knows there stuff and helped me out, how many don't know about that??? Second I got mine on sale, it was still expensive... last fault... give me a option for solar charging. I am not near line power often and re charging is a process on occasion. I would but a new version if they had a solar charging option. For what I do with it it works.

Is this thing weatherproof enough to work in rain?
Nowhere do i see it mentioned if this can be left out and used in the rain or snow. AND - if it cannot do that - why hasnt milwaukee created a composite cover (maybe vented or louvered) that can slide over and down, around the cage - still allowing access to the outlets so this can stay outside, or even be permanently mounted onto the bed of a vehicle? Same question for the jackhammer. Sorry to have to post this here, but i cant be the only person wondering this.

I definitely recommend this machine
I love this product and I think the expectations were a little high for most of the contractors on what they expected this machine to do.. I’ve had one since they released it and I have to say when I needed it, it never failed. The only downfall that I think comes with this machine is they don’t add a charger with a $3000 machine… because it has a sequential use. There should be an option to charge a battery while one is in use. You shouldn’t have to stop the machine to charge it. But other than that it has worked amazingly for my construction company.. in situations where I needed power where it wasn’t available it came in very clutch, but I’m also a realist so I didn’t expect it to exceed my expectations until it does and does things that I didn’t know it can do. If I had to add anything I would make sure the batteries lasted just a little longer being that they are $600 apiece. I have the drills that I use constantly in the battery last for days this machine should blow them out the water…
