Milwaukee MLSQ070 7" Rafter Square

I bout this as a set wioththe 7 and 4.5 inch in one package. They are not perfectly square with each other but close enough for what I use them for. (Off by about .003" when butted back to back on my quartz kitchen counter - just enough that I can see light between them at the "T" end)

My bigger beef is not with the quality but with the design. The 4.5 inch has scrubbing notches that are offset so you can draw scribed lines 1/8" apart, but this is not so with the 7 inch version, as the scribing notches are directly across from each other which only allows for 1/4" scribing.

It’s good solid product

I bought this product with both the 7 and 4.5. One of them are not square out of the package. Now I have to go through the process of checking and sanding them to bring them back square.

As with all Milwaukee products I have sampled so far, this is definitely a hit with me.

I bought it for the scribe notches. They are super useful and cut out to perfectly fit a carpenters pencil or a regular pencil. It is sturdy and easy to read as well.

I bought this mainly because I love all things Milwaukee when it comes to tools. I can’t say it’s better or worse then my previous square, but it gets the job done which is the most important thing.

I had to purchase a square to replace an old one I could no longer read. I love Milwaukee and was happy to see this in the store. Great quality and easy to read numbers. Yet another great Milwaukee purchase. I'll be buying the Milwaukee pneumatic framing nailer next!
