Dewalt DCKO975M1 Dewalt 20V Max* Flexvolt Outdoor Combo Kit

Was bought as a gift last year in July - Used twice , returned twice and said nothing wrong with it. The battery is gets HOT - heats up within minutes. I certainly will never use it and I will never even consider a Dewalt product again.

Blower works well and is good quality.

However the weedeater is very poor quality. The only positive is that it has a nice trigger pull and can control rotations. When it comes to the string it will stop feeding or get caught in the housing for even just after seconds of use. and this started happening right out of the box

My dad owns both of these and with them being battery operated it saves money on fuel and oil depending on if its a two stroke but these being battery are just as amazing I absolutely love them

Bought tool and it lasted 1 day. I’m a Dewalt guy. Have a whole range of 20v tools. My old trimmer of 5 years died, so I bought a new one. What happened to quality tools? New trimmer head didn’t make it through the first spool of line and the plastic on the head is so thin it literally started cracking after first use. Thin, cheaply made, plastic spool. Plus came with a 2021 battery in the kit with the blower. This has to be the worst, poorest quality DeWalt tool I’ve ever bought. Don’t waste your money on this trimmer. I’m going to try to get my old one fixed. New ones have no power to cut like my old one does. Old one could plow thru grass a foot tall. New one doesn’t have the power or strength to do it. Just very poor quality and not strong enough like the old model I had. One of the first tools from DeWalt I could not possibly recommend. Blower in the kit was great, trimmer is a solid NO.

First off I'd like to say I'm usually a huge Dewalt fan and have a large collection of their production..however I was not impressed with the trimmer. The motor burnt up and started smoking after minimal use and the battery is fried and won't charge.

Love the blower as it is powerful. The weed eater is awful. I regularly have to re-string because it will stop feeding or the housing will come undone.

I bought this combo kit after my gas powered died after 20 years and that was a Ryobi I have all Dewalt 20 V tools so this made it a lot easier and it works great

The Blower is worth the money. This is the second one I have bought for my family. I did my research and this was tops in its class. The Weed Trimer is another story though. When I purchased this comb kit it was a toss up between this kit and the new model with the trimer with the folding shaft. as the new folding shaft had little info or reveiws for it, so I went with the DCST925. As a strait trimer it is slitly better than a $25 corded WeedEater. The cutting angles are for the string odd for a strait shaft trimer, so much that you are near inverted to a edging angel for a gas trimmer.

The durability for a Dawalt is not excetable. After just 5 trimings of my yard (1200 sq.ft. the internal spendal head which holds the indavigual lines broke. The Store that I purchased the combo kit tried to fined a replacement head to replace it, but there are no old heads for that and the new ones "Do Not Fit" this model. They also would not honnor the Dewalt 90 day "No Quest Aasked" Money Back Guarantee. luckly they had another combo kit and we switched the heads out.

I do not understand Dewalt's stand not having confidence in there products. I have used first gen electric professional weedeaters by TORO that out preformed this. it trimed and edged. Dewalt is a professional quality tools and products people expect that from them. TORO is commsumer grade and that 15 year old trimmer out performed this one. This is a apple to apple comperasen. The only major diffarance between the to is the battery, and that being Dewalt has a smaller stronger more advanced one.

Dewalt up your game and make your trimmers handle full duty.

I just got this combo. For small jobs it works great. For a quick trim around the house, along the fence and along the sidewalk and drive the trimmer worked great and the battery had more than enough power left for the blower to clear the sidewalk the driveway the entry way and around the patio in the back..

I was worried about the power and the run time. I was dumb to worry, this trimmer has changed my life and I will never go back to mixing gas.
